Today disaster struck! While on their way to school a truck hit Elizia and the kids from behind. They were stationary, waiting to turn into the school. The truck was not watching where he was going and he hit them at speed. The car was pushed down at impact breaking both the front and rear suspension, but luckily the truck did not run over the car. Instead the car was pushed / dragged for about 100m before it was spat out on the side of the road. Luckily the front wheel caught the anchor cable of a telephone pole and the car did not roll.

It was a miracle that my family walked away from this crash with only minor scratches. We did find out a couple of years later that Johann (who was sitting in the back) had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He was 3 years old at the time of the accident.
